A gift from the people of France to the people of America, the Statue of Liberty has stood on Ellis Island as a symbol of freedom and opportunity for all who seek our shores since 1886.

When pigeons infested the pedestal of this most beloved monument, the Liberty Trust asked BirdMaster™ to solve the problem. We installed PermaNet™ inside four porticos and sealed unused draining ports at the base of the statue. We also bird-proofed the ferry dock canopy at Liberty Island and completed extensive work on the Ellis Island Immigration Building. As a result of our work, the pigeons have migrated.
